American-made oak floor clock by Ridgeway Clocks of Ridgeway, Virginia, late 20th century (circa 1985-1999). Swan-neck bonnet with turned finial, fluted quarter columns with cast brass capitals, a full-length beveled glass door with lock, and a stepped plinth base.
Brass-tone arched dial with silvered chapter ring, applied Arabic numerals, cast spandrels and a rotating moon phase disc; "Made in USA" at 6 o'clock. Weight-driven 8-day movement with three brass weights and a lyre pendulum, with chime selector and silence levers for three melodies (Westminster, Whittington and St. Michael style). Working order has not been verified; the weights and pendulum were removed for transport.
Solid oak and oak veneer case in a warm honey stain with satin lacquer.
18.5 in W x 10 in D x 83 in H. Approx. 150 lb assembled.
Condition: excellent. The case is clean and glossy with no visible cracks, splits, water rings or veneer lift. The brass weights and pendulum are bright with light tarnish, and the dial and moon disc are crisp with no fading.
