An elegant walnut frame, sculptural faux bamboo detailing, and blue pastoral toile give this vintage bergère the charm of a beautifully layered country-house interior.

Dating to the mid-20th century, this Georgian-style armchair features a rounded, enclosing back that flows gracefully into the arms. Warm walnut framing outlines the silhouette, while bamboo-style turned front legs and stretchers are complemented by decorative curved brackets beneath the seat.

Blue-and-cream toile upholstery depicts pastoral vignettes of figures, animals, boats, and countryside scenery. Upholstered on the back as well as the front, the chair is attractive from every angle—particularly appealing beside a fireplace, in a bedroom, or floating within a seating arrangement. Coordinating piping neatly follows the curved contours.
