Oversized architectural table clock standing an impressive 25 inches tall, constructed in metal with an open framework of twisted columns, symmetrical scrollwork, ball finials, and a substantial stepped plinth.
The arched clock housing contains a pale textured dial surrounded by individually modeled hour markers and delicate decorative hands. Below, elaborate mirrored scrollwork forms an open central panel, giving the tall structure the character of a miniature architectural tower.
A heavily variegated brown finish extends throughout the metalwork, with rust-colored tones, spotting, oxidation, rubbing, and surface variation contributing to its distinctly aged appearance.
Substantial in both scale and weight, this is particularly effective on a large console, library table, mantel, or entry piece. Its combination of classical scrollwork and rustic metalwork works especially well in Old World, Spanish Revival, Tuscan, Gothic Revival, and collected traditional interiors.
