Rounded, outward-curving corners and a scalloped inner opening give the frame a beautifully sculptural silhouette.

Bright silver highlights contrast with darker recesses, emphasizing the intricate relief decoration. The unmonogrammed cartouche adds a particularly elegant touch, recalling the Rococo Revival silver frames of William Comyns and Gorham. Its decorative richness complements French traditional, Victorian, and English country interiors, including the collected aesthetic associated with designers Charlotte Moss and Bunny Williams. These are stylistic references; the frame’s maker is unidentified.

Lovely for displaying a treasured portrait or small artwork on a desk, bedside table, mantel, or dressing table. Finished with a dark fabric-covered reverse and an easel support for tabletop display.

This listing is for the smaller frame shown at the left in the photograph featuring both frames. The coordinating larger frame is available separately, subject to prior sale. See less
