An elegant mid-century modern Italian silver-plated footed jewelry casket or trinket box designed in the grand Neoclassical style. The box features highly detailed, embossed side panels depicting classic architectural arcades flanked by stylized columns. The hinged lid showcases a striking central laurel wreath medallion framed by an ornate scrolling foliage border.
The lid opens smoothly to reveal its original, vibrant rich red velvet interior lining. The underside of the base is fitted with a clean black velvet pad to protect your vanity or tabletop surfaces.
Unmarked but distinctly of vintage Italian origin (reminiscent of the fine giftware produced by manufacturers like Vera Lucino), this substantial decorative box serves as a functional jewelry organizer or a sophisticated statement piece on a vanity, dresser, or shelf. I love the side floral columns and leaf pattern.
