The open apron with bridge stretchers and decorated with three carvings of four petal flowers on two sides. Ifour round legs support the wide mitered top. The table top is a slat of pudding stone. The name pudding stone is given to colorful small stones or pebbles of distinctive colors embedded in a finer-grained matric such as sand, silt or silica that sharply contrasts in color. This bears resemblance to fruits, plums, or raisins in a traditional Christmas or plum pudding, thus the name. In geological terms, pudding stones are a type of sedimentary rock known as conglomerate jasper. The stone varies in different parts of the world. This stone is sourced from the mountains of Shandong province in eastern part of China. See less
