The elegant silhouette is defined by a wide, curved tablet top rail and a shapely center splat back, both of which serve as canvases for striking, hand-painted stenciled gold fruit and grape clusters that evoke classic 19th-century American stenciling traditions. At the center of the frame is a meticulously preserved, dark-stained octagonal woven cane seat insert, neatly integrated into the square wooden border. The chair stands on gently splayed legs connected by a simple boxed stretcher layout, showing minor, authentic finish wear and historical scuffs that highlight its genuine antique character. The underside provides a clear look at its traditional hand-caned construction, with hand-knotted rattan strands threaded continuously through holes drilled directly along the perimeter of the seat frame.
