Each chair features a contoured yoke-shaped top rail sitting above three faux-bamboo or ring-turned spindle splats, adding a subtle architectural rhythm to the backrest. The focal point of the design is the beautifully preserved, hand-woven octagonal cane seat insert that provides a lightweight, ventilated texture within the solid wood frame. Standing on turned front legs with supportive side and rear stretchers, the pair displays a rustic charm with visible age-appropriate wear and character variations in the finish. The underside reveals traditional hand-caning construction, where the individual rattan strands are meticulously looped and secured through the perimeter of the seat frame.
