The mountaineer is beautifully modeled with a lively sense of movement and expressive detail. Particularly appealing is his cheerful, smiling facial expression, which gives the figure a warm and engaging character. The warm honey-brown tone of the linden wood beautifully complements the sculptural carving and natural grain. The mountaineer carries a traditional lantern crafted in brass with clear glass panels, creating an attractive contrast between the warm carved wood and the metalwork. A matching wooden ceiling canopy completes the composition. The lantern has been fitted with one new socket for an E14-size light bulb. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician. In good condition with slight signs of aging and use consistent with its history.
