A whimsical vintage Mark Roberts Christmas fairy, circa 2000s, dressed in rich red, chartreuse and gold velvet with glittered wings, metallic ribbon, bells and miniature pears. The fairy holds a pear at his chest, with additional fruit embellishing his long curled hat and oversized shoes.
Wonderful details include the hand-painted face and expressive blue eyes, full white beard, embroidered gold cuffs, botanical trim, shimmering wings and multiple brass-tone jingle bells. The unusual pear motif and sophisticated red, green and gold palette make this an especially appealing Mark Roberts holiday collectible.
The figure measures approximately 9"H as posed × 4"W × 4.5"D. A clear hanging loop at the back allows the fairy to be displayed as an oversized ornament or incorporated into a wreath, although he also displays nicely seated as shown.
