Finely detailed reversible Nefertiti charm crafted in 14k yellow & white gold.
The sculptural portrait depicts Queen Nefertiti in profile wearing her iconic tall crown. One face is accented with deep cobalt blue lapis lazuli. Turn the pendant over and the same figure is transformed with bright egg shell blue turquoise, producing an entirely different, more luminous look.
The reversible construction is always so fun: essentially two pendants in one!
Nefertiti became one of the most recognizable symbols of ancient Egyptian beauty following the early-20th-century fascination with Egyptian archaeology, and Egyptian Revival motifs experienced repeated revivals throughout 20th-century fashion and jewelry. This piece captures that fascination in a wonderfully wearable form.
