TODAY is a good DAY to be LINGERIE!!!! LOL… This is a WONDERFUL Henry Link Margaux Collection lingerie chest or vanity composed of an antiqued white painted wood frame with a nice drop front secretary, a flip up top with an attached beveled mirror, 2 small inner drawers behind the drop front, and 5 larger drawers with raised panel fronts, antiqued white painted metal pulls, and subtle blue gray hand painted trim accents surrounding each drawer. This cabinet is highly functional, versatile, and bursting with a FABULOUS French Provencial Country aesthetic sure to make a statement wherever it is placed!
Henry Link Furniture was founded as a division of Dixie Furniture by Henry Talmadge Link in the early 1960s. Link organized and launched the Dixie Furniture Company in 1936. After visiting the Ford Motor Company plant, he was inspired by the assembly process and upon his return to Lexington, he installed automatic conveyors at their Dixie Furniture Company. He is known as a key figure for revolutionizing the American furniture industry by introducing these mass production techniques to the furniture business. To facilitate exponential growth four separate divisions were created including Henry Link Furniture (1960s), Link-Taylor (1950), Young-Hinkle (1962), and Dixie-Linwood (1972) while another division called Wicker by Henry Link began in 1984. Masco Corporation bought Henry Link in 1987 merging them into Lexington Home Brands. Henry Link passed away in 1983 and was inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame in 1998.
So… Call it a lingerie chest, call it a vanity, or call it a narrow storage cabinet… BUT, whatever you choose to call this marvelous vintage Henry Link Margaux Collection piece… choose to call it YOURS!!!
