Beautiful set of three vintage Gustavsberg Blå Blom dinner plates, made in Sweden.
Crafted in bone porcelain, the glossy white plates are ornamented with sculptural blue decoration surrounded by elegant white-on-white embossed grape leaves and vines. The dimensional surface creates a beautiful interplay of color, texture, relief and shadow.
Blå Blom, Swedish for “Blue Flower,” is a distinctive 20th-century Gustavsberg design with a wonderfully sculptural quality.
The pattern coordinates especially well with Adderleys Blue Chelsea, making these plates an appealing addition to a layered table setting combining English and Scandinavian blue-and-white wares.
Each plate bears the GUSTAVSBERG anchor SWEDEN backstamp.
