A charming Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl. The exterior and interior are beautifully hand-painted with a traditional prunus (plum blossom) motif, featuring gnarled dark branches with white blossoms against a soft, mottled light blue ground. The rim is finished with a dark metal (likely silver or pewter) band. The base bears a black four-character "Xia Qing Hua You" (Underglaze Blue) mark within a double circle. A lovely piece for display or use.
