c. 1900s-1910s; W-W-W (White, Wile, and Warner) - Buffalo, NY
Antique birthstone advertising clock with mechanical stork figure.
This piece features 12 wooden trays, upon which the 12 birthstone would have been placed. A small plaque that was once placed within the small frame along the bottom (not included) read:
"What Birthstone did the Stork decide you should wear? It is here in the famous W. W. W. RING in endless variety at reasonable prices. Stones guaranteed to stay in."
While that last promise ended up broken, what does remain is a charming and exceedingly rare piece.
