Offered is a vintage Mikasa brand "Deco Lily" pattern stoneware chop or Serving platter from the Forecast line (Pattern #D 6802) designed by Joan Luntz in the early 1970s.
Measures: 12.5" diameter, 1.25" tall.
Joan Luntz (b. 1922 - d. 2017) was an American industrial designer who revolutionized plastic dinnerware in the 1960s and produced the 'Desert Flower," 'Brookpark Modern,' and 'Brookpark Arrowhead Everware," kitcheware lines for International Molded Products of Cleveland, Ohio. The latter two designs won the Good Design Award from the Museum of Modern Art.
Her creations reached stores across the United States and internationally.
