c. 1950s; mfd. for Maxwell House by Benrus Watch Company - New York
Square-form advertising clock featuring dual branding: a bold Benrus "Watch Time" dial above a vibrant Maxwell House Coffee panel with the classic dripping-coffee-pot graphic and the slogan "Good to the last drop!" The numerals are printed in bright red, contrasted by the blue-and-yellow Benrus logotype at center. The lower panel retains strong color and sharp registration, framed inside a ribbed metal bezel. A new single-pane glass front has been installed for clarity and protection, and the movement has been tested and is in working order.
Benrus, founded in 1921, was a major American watchmaker known for precision timepieces and wide-ranging advertising placements, including branded display clocks for restaurants and retail.
