This vintage painted wall mirror is one of our favorites, with its scalloped edges, scroll relief all the way around it's central oval shaped beveled mirror. This example is especially pretty with its distressed antique white finish. This mirror was found at Round Top Texas, it's stamped on the reverse side TEXAS.
The reverse side of the mirror reveals a detailed timeline of its life: The frame appears to be an authentic antique or early 20th-Century that has been repaired and modified over time. Then modified again later during the 1930's 1950's (the great depression and post WWll eras) Salvaged citrus crate wood backing was incredibly common for people to reuse sturdy wood from fruit crates for home repairs or reinforcement. This mirror is being sold in as found.
