As with every genuine slave clock, this one never kept its own time, relying instead on a pulse from a central master clock. Since that network no longer exists, the movement has been converted to modern quartz, with the original silver dial and hands kept exactly as they were.

Finished in satin black with a convex glass cover, the clock is ready to hang and set independently.

The clock measures 18 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm in height.
