Stylized bird form with a pointed head, curved beak, and tapered tail, functioning as a shallow vessel or bowl along its back. Hand-painted in bright poster-paint style colors — green, red, orange, blue, black, and white — with layered geometric bands and feather motifs covering the body. A charming, folk-art example of Southwest Pueblo pottery tradition, in which effigy and animal-form vessels were a popular decorative and tourist-trade craft through much of the 20th century. 7"l x 5"w x 2.5"h.
