Set of three vintage solid brass elephant paperweights, known as "Drumbo," produced as an exclusive gift by Dresdner Bank (Germany) … Read more Set of three vintage solid brass elephant paperweights, known as "Drumbo," produced as an exclusive gift by Dresdner Bank (Germany) in the 1970s — distinct from, and much rarer than, the widely distributed plastic coin-bank version of the same design. Minimalist, organic silhouette with clean curved lines capturing the essence of an elephant in a few simple strokes. Recently polished to bring out the warm brass shine, with a soft patina remaining in the recesses for character. Small and satisfyingly heavy for their scale — each measures approximately 3"L x 1"W x 2"H. Widely attributed to celebrated German industrial designer Luigi Colani, though this attribution has been questioned, with some sources crediting designer Bernd Diefenbach instead; noted here for transparency. A wonderful trio for a desk, shelf, or collector's display — not a piggy bank, but the scarcer solid brass paperweight edition. See less
