The tall fluted column rises from a weighty, stepped octagonal base and passes through a circular clear-glass table. A slender metal gallery with spherical accents surrounds the glass. The lamp retains its tall vintage fabric drum shade, beautifully proportioned to the narrow column and approximately 57-inch overall height.

The form recalls high-quality American brass lighting of the period, including designs associated with Stiffel and other mid-century lighting manufacturers. This example is unmarked and is offered without a specific maker attribution.

The brass-tone surfaces retain an attractive aged character, with oxidation, spotting, patina and finish wear consistent with vintage use. The original shade shows minor dents, creasing and age-related wear but displays beautifully, particularly when illuminated. Glass has expected light vintage wear.

The lamp is exceptionally heavy and substantial.

Lamp illuminates when plugged in. The socket’s original switching mechanism is missing/nonfunctional; the lamp is presently operated by plugging and unplugging and may be used with a switched outlet or external plug-in switch. Electrical components have not been professionally inspected.
