This is a beautiful antique Erhard & Sohne art nouveau jewelry box from the early 1900s. It is in original and very clean condition. The main box is made from dark wood, likely walnut burl, and adorned with art nouveau decorated brass. It features a brown velvet lined interior. The box clicks closed but unfortunately has no key, which is reflective in the price.
This piece was recently appraised with a fair market value of $400-700 with an original key.
The box measures 6.75x4.5x2.5 inches.
Erhard & Sohne are a German company known for producing high-quality Ormolu items. The company was founded in 1844 and is today operating under its 6th generation of the Erhard family.
