This elegant vintage Chinese table screen is handcrafted from dark suanzhi hardwood, adorned with intricate mother-of-pearl shell inlay depicting pine trees and two red-crowned cranes, the classic “Pine and Crane Longevity” motif.
The iridescent shell inlay brings delicate color and texture to the scene, framed by soft curved scroll corners. The carved wooden base features cloud pattern relief carvings. In Chinese culture, pine and cranes symbolize health, longevity and wisdom.
This handsome decorative screen works beautifully as a statement piece on consoles, desks, sideboards or inside curio cabinets, a refined accent for Chinoiserie interiors and collector displays.
