The bowl features a rich, deep crimson color and is entirely covered in intricate high-relief carving. It is a substantial and striking piece, perfect for collectors of Asian art or as a luxurious decorative centerpiece.

Key Features:

Masterful Dragon Carving: The exterior is deeply carved with a dynamic motif of a mythical dragon (or dragons) surrounded by stylized clouds. The dragon is a powerful symbol of strength, good luck, and imperial authority in Chinese culture.

Iconic "Tixi" Style: The raised red lacquer creates a striking three-dimensional effect. The background features a subtle, intricate diaper pattern (geometric ground), which contrasts beautifully with the smooth, polished surface of the raised motifs. The base features a classic key-fret (leiwen) border.

Interior & Base: The interior of the bowl is finished in a smooth, glossy black lacquer, providing a striking contrast to the vibrant red exterior. The base is also black.

Versatile & Collectible: This is a substantial piece (19 cm diameter), perfect for displaying as a centerpiece on a dining table or console, or for storing small treasures. It is a true statement piece that will add a pop of color and history to any space. See less
