Set against crisp white porcelain, an exuberant botanical composition unfolds in mustard yellow, ochre, brown, black and gray. Stylized flowers, seedpods and whimsical mushroom-like forms create an almost surreal garden—a particularly appealing example of postwar European tabletop design.

The clean rectangular silhouette, softly rounded corners and restrained palette feel remarkably contemporary today. At nearly 13 inches long, it is substantial enough for serving while remaining equally compelling displayed on open shelving or incorporated into a collection of European ceramics.

Found in a small Dutch town on a recent sourcing trip, this piece was brought back from the Netherlands for the Bleucrab collection—a particularly fun find from the country where it was made.

Marked on the underside Maastricht / Mosa / 58 / Holland.

Measures 12.75” long, 8.25” deep, and 1.5” H.

In very good vintage condition with minor signs of previous use. No chips or cracks observed. Please refer closely to photographs. See less
