A distinguished set of 14 porcelain dinner plates by Andrea by Sadek, produced as an authorized Winterthur Museum adaptation. Each plate features a crisp botanical fruit study at the center, framed by a soft sage green rim decorated with classical neoclassical scrollwork and inner beaded banding. As noted on the reverse backstamp, the decorative border is faithfully adapted from an antique French dessert service dating to 1820–1840.
Generously sized at 10 1/2 inches, this set offers a complete service for 12 with two coordinating reserve plates—ideal for layered, traditional dining, grandmillennial tablescapes, or garden party entertaining.
Pattern Breakdown & Item Descriptions (14 Plates Total)
Peach / Nectarine (Qty 6): Six 10 1/2" dinner plates featuring a cluster of peaches (or nectarines) on a branch with detailed green leaves against a white ground. This specific motif is the most prominent in the set, making it perfect for a base service.
Fig (Qty 3): Three 10 1/2" dinner plates featuring a branch of ripe figs with their unique characteristic leaves. A desirable and less common botanical motif.
Pear (Qty 3): Three 10 1/2" dinner plates with a classic pear illustration, showing the fruit and foliage, often a favorite for traditional dining collections.
Blackcurrant (Qty 2): Two 10 1/2" dinner plates featuring a detailed cluster of dark purple/blackcurrant berries with their associated leaves. (Note: These are identified as currants rather than plums based on botanical details in the sources).
