A sophisticated pair of two-tier side tables designed by Barbara Barry for Baker Furniture, combining architectural simplicity with the refined proportions and restrained elegance associated with Barry’s work.
Each table features a square upper surface raised above a larger lower tier on a faceted central pedestal, creating a distinctive layered silhouette. The gently flared legs and subtly beveled perimeter give the design a graceful, tailored quality, while the rich dark espresso-mahogany finish allows the warm undertones of the wood to remain visible.
Both tables retain their Baker Furniture labels as well as Barbara Barry collection plaques, confirming their provenance.
The finish has been carefully refreshed and color-corrected to improve consistency and depth while preserving the character of the original wood. A protective clear finish has also been applied. The tables remain vintage pieces and retain age-appropriate signs of use, including scattered light scratches, small edge nicks, and minor finish imperfections.
