Set of three midcentury bentwood armchairs with a round cane seat by the renowned workshop of Salvatore Leone, Italy, 1960s. These chairs are a masterful 20th century rendition of the iconic "Cafe Daum," Vienna chair designed by Michael Thonet in the 1850s. They feature a highly desirable armchair configuration boasting boldly scrolled arms which seamlessly harmonize with the signature 'S' scroll backrest, creating a continuous, cohesive design with a dramatic, sculptural presence.
Embracing the beauty of steamed bentwood, this chair embodies the organic, fluid silhouette reminiscent of Viennese cafes and has since become a classic in modern design. Each piece retains its original "Made in Italy" label.
