A lovely antique English semi-porcelain platter from the esteemed Johnson Brothers porcelain house of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire England.
The piece features a deeply scalloped 6-sided, oblong shape with a creamy white ground, pink carnation type flowers, blue cornflower blossoms, and green foliage. The rim is adorned with raised flourishes and delicate cross-hatch shields. The handles at each end retain just a touch of their original gilt decoration. We believe this to be in the pattern known to collectors as JB178. Mark en verso dates the platter to the period between 1900 & 1905.
Dimensions: 14.6"W x 10.25"D x 1.5"H.
Condition: Very good antique condition; vibrant colors, no chips, no cracks, light crazing, loss of gilt.
