Offered is a mid 20th Century black marble decorative lidded bowl or catch-all made in Italy. There is no discernible maker's mark or label, however, it was found with black felt adhered on the bottom, intended to protect surfaces.
While centerpiece bowls, ashtrays, and double-sided vessels by Angelo Mangiarotti for Knoll are documented in vintage archives, lidded containers in solid black marble from official Knoll production are uncommon and often appear as independent Italian artisan pieces from the same period.
See condition details.
Measures 8.125" diameter, 2.75 tall with its lid on (2.25" tall without the lid).

There are no scuffs or deep scratches. The lid is fine and can be lifted and placed with ease. There is black felt adhered on the bottom (as it was found) to protect surfaces. Any wear is commensurate with its age and past handling. less
