Its deep walnut brown finish sets off glass shelves, curved handle, casters, a hallmark of of the art deco period France craftsmanship in the art deco tradition. Its surface and joinery bear the honest, gradual wear of genuine age rather than a manufactured distress, evidence of a long working life already lived. There is a particular satisfaction in owning something with real history behind it, rather than something made to be replaced in a few short years. There is something quietly right about choosing a piece that has already proven its durability, instead of something manufactured for a short lifespan. It is well suited to a bar cart for entertaining. See less
