Heavy and exceptionally well-crafted, this piece features an elegant diptych layout framed by a beautifully textured, dual-band twisted rope border. The piece is constructed from a heavy silver-tone base metal alloy heavily finished with a rich gold-gilt plating, which is highly characteristic of fine mid-century boutique makers like Stylebuilt or Matson. The reverse side reveals a striking, luxurious deep purple velvet backing. It stands balanced on a sturdy, matching twisted-rope metal easel leg attached via a central structural barrel hinge. Perfect for showcasing side-by-side family portraits, black-and-white heirlooms, or miniature art prints. I love the twisted rope border. See less

As is characteristic of genuine vintage plated metalwork, there is light finish loss on high-friction points (such as the tip of the easel foot) where the underlying heavy silver-tone metal is visible. The purple velvet backing shows light, authentic cosmetic wear and minor scuff marks consistent with age and use. Image area is 3.5" by 2". less
