Striking pair of vintage Adams India Parrot Gray dinner plates crafted in Real English Ironstone.
The distinctive Chinoiserie-inspired pattern features a graceful parrot surrounded by flowering branches, butterflies, foliage and stylized landscape elements in sophisticated gray-blue, charcoal and warm neutral tones against creamy English ironstone.
Especially appealing is the form of these plates: a softly squared, almost octagonal profile with gently rounded corners, a generous rim and a deep central well. The unusual shape beautifully frames the elaborate bird and botanical decoration.
Marked on the reverse India Parrot Gray, Real English Ironstone, Adams, Est. 1657, England, Micratex.
Each measures approximately 10” across x 1” high, with a 1 1/2” rim, approximately 6 1/2” central well, and 5 1/2” foot ring.
Excellent to pristine vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Decoration remains exceptionally clean and beautifully preserved.
A wonderful pair for a Chinoiserie-inspired table, cabinet display or decorative plate wall.
