Each grand 10.5-inch plate features a rich, deep cobalt blue border intricately accented with a multi-band pattern of raised, stylized gold stenciling and delicate white dot enamel trim.

The center of each plate showcases a finely detailed, hand-embellished polychrome pastoral vignette celebrating the Romantic or Victorian Courting revival style. Set against a luminous, highly polished gold-leaf circular reserve, the scenes depict idyllic classical or aristocratic figures in various narrative courting stages.

This specific set boasts exceptional studio provenance, with every single plate hand-signed on the front face by its respective master decorator. Capturing a rare collaboration of studio talent, the set features work from five separate period artists, including two meticulously detailed scenes by the noted painter F. Hiebel, alongside individual works by K. Bürklen, O. Vanička, Elli Wieden, and J. Sorgmann.

The reverse of each plate is marked with a classic blue underglaze shield/beehive mark and features the individual narrative titles written in a crisp crimson hand script:
