Direct from southern England, a striking antique English metal jardinière, featuring a procession of large horses in decoupage against a deep black lacquered background.

This jardinière is part of a small group of similarly decorated pieces we have acquired, recently hand-decorated by skilled artists in England, demonstrating superb craftsmanship using traditional hand-applied decoupage techniques.

The large, beautifully rendered horses encircle the jardinière, creating a continuous procession against the deep black lacquered surface. A repeating gilt geometric border frames the imagery along the top and bottom, while fixed ring handles finish each end.
