An elegant, original armchair from the late 19th century, designed in the Neorococo (Rococo Revival) style, characteristic of European historicism.
The piece stands out for its striking, richly carved structure with a decorative finial featuring rocaille motifs, shells, and floral ornaments. The distinctive, gently curved armrests and contoured structural elements give the armchair a highly decorative and stately character.
The backrest and sides are made of traditional Viennese wickerwork, which contrasts beautifully with the dark wood. The piece looks exceptionally striking and is a perfect addition to a classic, eclectic, or collector’s interior.
The armchair is in very good overall condition, with natural, minor signs of wear appropriate for the piece’s age. The construction is solid and stable.
