Beautiful French Orchies Majolica plate circa 1890, modeled as a large pink daisy with deeply molded overlapping petals and a richly textured floral center. The vibrant glaze graduates from creamy yellow and soft green at the center to delicate blush pink and deeper rose along the scalloped petal-form rim. The dimensional modeling and luminous glaze are wonderful examples of late 19th century French Majolica pottery. A striking piece of antique Orchies pottery, French floral Majolica, botanical Majolica and 19th century French decorative ceramics, ideal for a Majolica collection, cabinet display or decorative wall arrangement!
