Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai sky blue dragon flowers vase, turquoise glazed lip, interior and inset base, red Da Ya … Read more Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai sky blue dragon flowers vase, turquoise glazed lip, interior and inset base, red Da Ya Zhai three character mark with the red Tian Di Yi Jia Chun medallion below the rim, fine small pattern iron wire craquelure over a sky blue glaze on the body with two finely drawn four-clawed sky dragons in finely shaded umber and sepia glazes with gilt highlights amid finely painted white and sepia glazed leafy herbal flowers with chrysanthemums and peonies in gold highlights, all in low relief. Red and white square four character Yong Qing Chan Chun reign mark to the inset base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.

5 Chinese herbals: chrysanthemum flower (ju hua), campus flower (ling Xiao hua), celosia flower (ji guan hua), safflower (hong hua), and, the much beloved, rose bud (mei gui hua).
