The central panel features an intricate Mother of Pearl (shell) and mixed-media inlay depicting a magpie perched on a blossoming plum branch, accompanied by the Chinese characters "喜鹊登梅" (Magpie on Plum). This classic motif, also known as "喜上眉梢" (Happiness on the Eyebrows), is a traditional Chinese symbol of good fortune and joyful news.
