Charming set of three Thomas Kinkade Inspired Home dinner plates by Spode, dating to 2005. Each generously sized ~10.5-11 inch plate features a different idyllic Thomas Kinkade cottage scene, surrounded by an elaborate floral border in soft ivory, muted yellow-green, and rich brown tones.
The three coordinating scenes include picturesque cottages and country homes nestled among lush gardens, flowering landscapes, and softly illuminated surroundings characteristic of Kinkade’s celebrated “Painter of Light” imagery. The intricate floral and geometric border gives the plates a distinctly traditional English-country look and pairs beautifully with antique, French Country, cottage, and collected interiors.
The reverse is marked “Thomas Kinkade Inspired Home – ‘Cottage’ – © 2005 Thomas Kinkade – Spode® © 2005.”
Wonderful displayed together on a hutch, plate rack, dining-room wall, or individually on plate stands. Their substantial 11-inch diameter also allows them to function as dinner plates, although they are particularly striking as decorative display pieces.
