A textured neutral linen liner adds depth and provides an elegant transition between the frame and artwork.
The wide molding combines warm antiqued bronze tones with a contrasting gilt inner band, creating a sophisticated, collected appearance particularly well suited for traditional, Hollywood Regency, transitional, and eclectic interiors.
The reverse retains its original stamped marking reading “Hecho en México – 16 x 20,” confirming Mexican manufacture and the intended artwork size.
Designed to accommodate approximately 16” x 20” artwork, the frame is substantial in scale, measuring approximately 27-1/8” x 23-1/8” overall and 1-3/4” deep. Its generous profile gives even modestly sized artwork considerable visual presence.
The original finish displays attractive vintage patina, including scattered finish wear, rubbing, small surface marks, and areas of loss to the gilt finish. These characteristics are consistent with age and use and contribute to its authentic vintage appearance. The linen liner also shows minor age-related discoloration and spotting.
