the frame is made of warm-toned beechwood with the flowing bentwood forms characteristic of thonet. The open backrest, with its two interlocking, curved wooden arches, is especially beautiful. Together with the slender legs and the curved reinforcing ring beneath the seat, this creates a delicate yet balanced silhouette.

the seats are finished with classic viennese cane webbing. The light octagonal weave provides a beautiful contrast to the honey-colored beechwood and underscores the timeless character of the chairs.

thonet is one of the most important manufacturers in the history of modern furniture design. As early as the 1850s, michael thonet perfected the technique of bending solid wood, thus laying the foundation for the industrial mass production of bentwood furniture. Thonet continues this tradition of craftsmanship to this day.

condition:

very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. The wood surfaces are generally very well-maintained and show only minor scratches and marks. The cane webbing is clean, taut, and, as seen in the photos, shows no noticeable breaks or major damage.
