This is an heirloom quality sheraton style club chair by Southwood of Hickory, NC, known for its high-end reproductions of 18th century and 19th century furniture.
The arm chair features a solid mahogany frame with burlwood inlay at each corner, along with a turned baluster detail between corner and arm and graceful fluted and tapered legs. Original butter yellow damask upholstery. Detached seat cushion filled with down. Signed Southwood.
The 2003 chair is in very good used condition. The chair is solid and exceptionally well made with some scuffs and scratches on the wood frame and faint stains on the upholstery. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chair.
The club chair measures 34” tall, 23.5” wide, and 26” deep with a 20” seat height and 29” arm height.
