Large vintage TOYO Japan blue and white porcelain decorative charger featuring an intricately rendered peacock surrounded by flowering branches and peonies.
The central peacock scene is framed by an elaborate combination of traditional floral and geometric border patterns, with a gently scalloped rim completing the design. Executed entirely in classic cobalt blue and white, the piece has wonderful visual depth and exceptionally detailed decoration throughout.
The reverse retains its original TOYO foil label as well as a blue painted/underglaze character mark.
At 12 inches in diameter, this is a substantial decorative piece suitable for display on a wall, plate stand, console, bookshelf or as part of a blue-and-white porcelain collection.
No visible damage, cracks, or chips.
