These antique cabinet porcelain plates complement each other with similar subject matters, but they are made by different makers.
The smaller plate is made by Warwick Wheeling China. It measures 8.25” in diameter with a portrait of a Victorian woman with red hair in the well of the plate. A gold rim and verge complete the simple and elegant design.
The larger plate is made by Royal Munich and is identified as plate 7209. At the center is the portrait of a woman. The verge is decorated with a Greek key pattern with a floral garland. The trim of the pate shows an ornate pattern of beaded cartouches and floral garlands. The solid band of gold at the rim completes the image. This plate measures 9.75” in diameter.
