Antique French Rococo style giltwood mirror, c.1900
Elegant elongated shaped mirror having highly decorative openwork shell and acanthus leaf details throughout. Carved wood and gesso composition make up the elaborate, high relief details and finished in gold leaf. Original mirror plate showing age foxing in places as seen in the pics. In good overall condition with age wear and minor losses to some edges. Hanging wire on rear.
