Solid cherry dining table with six matching chairs by Davis Cabinet Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Believed to date to the 1950s. Davis Cabinet was a well known Nashville furniture maker recognized for solid wood construction and craftsmanship. This is genuine vintage furniture, not particle board or a lightweight reproduction.
Duncan Phyfe style throughout. The table sits on a twin pedestal base with splayed saber legs and brass caps. It measures approximately 64 inches long by 42 inches wide by 30 inches high. No leaves. Seats six.
The set includes five side chairs and one armchair or captain's chair, each with carved floral and rose detailing on the back, saber legs, and an upholstered seat. Original manufacturer markings are still visible underneath the chairs.
Approximately 70 years old with age appropriate wear. The chairs are tight and solid with no wobble and no repairs. Minor finish wear and discoloration are visible in the photos.
Heavy, substantial furniture. Not a one person move.
