This heavy … Read more A highly collectible, heavy antique American yellow-ware stoneware pet dish dating back to the 1930s Art Deco era. This heavy utilitarian crock features an exquisitely detailed, molded bas-relief frieze depicting hunting dogs (pointers/hounds) bounding through dense marsh grass and foliage. The exterior and interior are coated in a rich, vibrant high-gloss leaf green glaze that beautiful accentuates the depth of the embossment. The top lip features a striking contrast band of deep yellow glaze. The underside is left completely raw and unmarked—a classic, textbook production trait of historic Ohio Valley art potteries like Nelson McCoy and Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. (RRP Co.). Its exceptional weight makes it an excellent choice to display as an eclectic planter, a catchall dish on a rustic entryway table, or a standout accent piece for collectors of Americana pottery. Due to the age of the glazes, I recommend this piece for decorative use only. I love the color and the hunting dog relief. See less

Free of structural cracks or repairs. There are two spots on the base of the bowl. The larger looks and feels like missing glaze from the factory. The smaller spot feels like a shallow chip of the glaze. Both pictured. less
