Fabulous looking, structurally sound and well-made three-tier tortoiseshell bamboo bookshelf that conveniently folds flat when not in use. It’s a stylish option where extra storage is needed or where the home or apartment has a small footprint. The three shelves fold down when in use; shelf one and three lock in place into the frame and provide a stable foundation. When not needed, the three shelves fold up and the two sides fold in so that it can be tucked away. Handcrafted from bamboo with a tortoiseshell finish. The frame is constructed using thick bamboo poles. Each shelf is framed in medium sized rods; split bamboo is what the shelves are made of with attractive rattan woven bindings to reinforce the strength of each shelf. It measures 42” x 26½” x 11” H/W/D; when folded it is 3½” deep; each shelf is 24” x 9” W/D; distance between shelves 12”; weight approximately 20 lbs. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. Unknown maker.
